Ye is one of the most influential artists of our times, he was also the richest black man in the world. Unfortunately, his recent statements are far from the Kanye we all used to know. In recent weeks one of the biggest artists in the world made some pretty concerning tweets aimed specifically at Jewish people. His statements were clearly, antisemitic and caused massive public outrage. It didn't take long before most of his social media accounts were suspended. He was also immediately dropped from collaborations with massive brands like Adidas or Balenciaga.
Kanye was always a controversial figure. But recently he spiraled down into the alt-right conspiracy. While listening to his recent interview you can clearly see that he bought into some theories like Black Israelism or The Nation of Islam. He definitely has some issues against Jewish people, often saying that they are the ones that control the world or openly saying that the holocaust wasn't even a big deal. Kanye's statements are definitely not coming from a good place. The people he is around, and his bipolar disorder(which he refused to treat)are not putting him on the right track either. We can only hope that eventually, he will acknowledge his mistakes, but for now, it doesn't seem like it at all.
