Is Donald Trump going to prison?

 

The stuff I’m gonna write about is kinda old. The first articles about it were released on the 6/7th of September. Fortunately, the case is still a semi-relevant topic. It’s about the Mar a Lago complex that has been raided by the FBI. For the unaware, it’s the huge housing complex owned by former president Donald Trump. The property was raided by the FBI because some highly classified documents were illegally stored there(according to the Washington Post these papers might include some info related to nuclear weapons). The raid went smoothly and the docs were retrieved, but the thing is that: If Trump is convicted of withholding these classified documents he would not be able to run in the highly anticipated 2024 Presidential election. Some might say that was an unfortunate mistake; he just forgot to return it, but… The State Department issued a subpoena that required him to immediately return these boxes of documents months ago. The request was ignored, which resulted in this extreme situation. This case is very unusual and on top of that it involves one of the most important people in the country, so it obviously has some political impact. But the investigation is still ongoing, so the only thing we can do is just wait.
