For a few days now, Iranian people have been gathering on the streets of 80 cities to protest the ultraconservative government and its recent actions. The ignition of these protests was the death of 22yo woman Mahasa Amini. She was arrested and killed for improperly wearing a hajib. This very tragic event started one of the biggest Iranian protests ever. People are mad, and they have no intentions of retrieving until the current government is still in power. Most protestors are young adults who do not agree with the horrific treatment of women in their country. The demonstration isn't peaceful; cars are burning, people are dying and women are tearing off their hajibs. The Iranian government already deployed special forces, which are very fond of using tear gas and real bullets (unfortunately it resulted in the death of 41 protesters ). But the people of Iran have no intention of stepping down, they are ready to do anything to be heard.
There is no room in the current day and age for this type of repression against half of our population. It's good to see someone stand up to this kind of tyranny. I believe that these extreme measures taken by Iranian protestors are fully justified. They are ready to give up everything to fight for freedom and equality, and It's something to be respected. The interest of the government should be the well-being of its people, not money or any other things. Iranian people are showing their displeasure with the current state of affairs, and they are more than entitled to do so.

Unfortunately, the agenda of the Iranian government has more to do with supporting the state religion and the rules in imposes on people than with the well-being of their population. Similar protests have broken out on a few occasions in the last 20 years but nothing has changed.
