Recently, a video of a group of parkour athletes went viral on every social media platform. Young adults have been filming their quest to save the environment by turning off electric advertising signs, and illuminated storefronts. It's not an easy job because switches are as high as 4 meters off the ground, fortunately, they are not discouraged by this minor inconvenience. As we all know, in recent months the energy situation is tough. So this group decided to act and show us that everyone can contribute in their own way. They usually target big brands like Rolex or Louis Vuitton that are not bothered by laws requiring them to switch off the signs from 1 am to 6 am.
It's good to see some of the younger generations take the matter into their own hands and do something
to save the environment. Even if these so-called No lights operations happen only in one city, they might inspire someone to do the same. According to some of the group members, stores that had been targeted started to switch off the lights for the night. It's a small initiative with a massive idea.
